Don’t expect any Auto-Tune on this album. West thinks this will be an anti-Auto-Tune CD.

“We actually removed all the songs with Auto-Tune off of his album to make the point that this is an anti-Auto-Tune album, even though I released an album that has all Auto-Tune!” “It doesn’t matter to me,” he said of the decision. “It’s music; it’s just sonics. I like Auto-Tune so I do it, but you want the other thing — like you’ll wear a suit to a wedding and gym shoes to a basketball game. I think it’s a perfect moment for Jay to provide some gym shoes to a basketball game right now.”

No word on when Jay will be providing the music, however. Now free from Def Jam, the album will likely be released through his label, Roc Nation. Still, details have not been released as of press time.

Yung Joc has fighting words for Diddy. The Southern rapper tells Billboard.com that he plans to file a lawsuit against Bad Boy Records and Block Entertainment for a host of contractual discrepancies, including failure to pay royalties and advances for his first two albums and charging “outrageous clearance fees” for his collaborations with other artists. 

Rapper Bubba Sparxxx was arrested in Clearwater, Florida Hooters on Sunday night (May 17) for illegal drugs.
According to TampaBay.com, the 32-year-old rapper (real name: Warren Mathis) was busted in the act of buying drugs by an off duty police officer.

The reports says he was purchasing Tranxene, a prescription medication subscribed to individuals suffering from anxiety.

Bubba was arrested, booked on felony possession of a controlled substance, and released on Monday (May 18) after posting $2,000 bail.

The rapper is best known for his 2006 top 10 smash hit, “Ms. New Booty,” and his debut single “Ugly.”

Hip-Hop mogul Jay-Z has reportedly bought out the remainder of his business contract with Def jam Records, including his unreleased Blueprint 3 album obligation, for roughly $5 million.

Jermaine Dupri and Janet Jackson have been together for quite some time. In fact, since 2002 and hasn’t seem to have faded whatsoever.

Dupri is making his love for Janet official … and permanent, with the addition of a tattoo of the pop star on his rib cage.

J.D. had famed tattoo artist Jun Cha blast his lower right rib cage with a classic Virgin Mary image … modified to look like his beloved girlfriend.

“He decided to work his lower right ribcage with the classic Virgin Mary, with a little twist,” Cha writes on his blog. “Jermaine’s queen, Janet Jackson, takes the role of man’s spiritual savior. About three hours into it, Janet walks in stunned to see her face on her man’s side.”

While the rib cage is known for being one of the most sensitive areas to get tattooed, Cha says Jermaine took it “like a soldier.”

Dupri, on the other hand, said it “hurt like hell.”

“This is the longest I have ever sat for a tat. I had to take 100 breaks ’cause that sh** hurt like hell,” said Dupri.

It doesn’t look like Nas and Kelis are on good terms. After filing for divorce last month against her husband of three years, Kelis – who cannot work because she is pregnant with the Queens rapper’s son – is asking for Nas to pay for her lawyer fees in the case.

TMZ reports today (May 20) that not only does Nas not want to pay for his ex’s attorney, but he doesn’t want to fork over any money for spousal support.

Both Esco and the R&B singer are seeking custody of the child that Kelis is just weeks away from birthing. Rumor is that Kelis filed for the split because she believes Nas was cheating on her.  (Bitch you’re in the industry. You know the time and you knew the deal)

Young Joc is in the midst of a bitter legal battle against Sean “Diddy” Combs, Bad Boy Records, and Block Entertainment. Apparently Joc feels that he wasn’t properly paid his royalties.
